Why Do You Accept This As A Way of Life?

Falling Wall

“Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

“I’m lonely; no one will ever love me; no matter how I try I just can’t seem to pull it together? I don’t feel I’m measuring up as a spouse.”

Are you happy in this place where you find yourself? It feels like you are alone in this vast world, going through your going through by yourself at times, doesn’t it? The truth of the matter what you are experiencing is the erroneous truth that life is a bowl of cherries, at least that’s what we have accepted as our truth, but it is far from it.

Things happen along the way, but not to us. At least that’s how we see it. Which truth do you want to believe? Do you believe the “life should be good, all good, no bad; or the “I will never leave you nor forsake you” truth no matter what you face?

Will you believe the “Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” Or would you rather go on believing your truth?

When truth depends on your perceptions and understandings, based on experiences, then you are limited, but when truth is embraced based upon the one who is infinite, then we are able to see ourselves in a way unimaginable.

Let’s go back for a moment. What is your truth? I’m lonely; no one loves me; I just can’t seem to pull it together.” Your truth has backed you into a hole, trapped you in negative thinking, with no way out.

Our Lord said we would have troubles. We all have a need to be loved, to feel significant and secure. We want those things because we feel we deserve them. What’s wrong with love, significance and security? Nothing.

There’s no doubt statistics confirm that humans need interaction and touch, but God says he will be with us always, that he will never leave us or forsake us.

So then why do we accept loneliness as a way of life? Why do we have moments where we don’t feel loved? Why can’t we pull it together?

Perhaps we have not embraced wholeheartedly what God says about these matters.
What part of Him loving the world—that means you— don’t you get or want to accept? Now all you have to do is believe it.

You can keep your truth and the self-defeating thoughts that go with it, or you can ask the Lord to help you to replace your truth with His truth for your life.

Let me pray for you:

“Lord, your truths have been presented to this reader. Help him or her to know your voice and to yield to your message and discard the old tapes that keep playing, through the power of your son Jesus.” Amen.

Let me know what you think.

Keep the faith,
